Dr Beth Gillis

After growing up on the Northshore, Beth took off overseas. She completed her veterinary studies at The University of Sydney, graduating in 2014. She then spent her first two years of practice working with companion animals in Sydney. The travel bug then kicked in further, taking her to Vancouver, Canada, where she worked as a companion animal vet for a further three years. After starting a family of her own in Canada, Beth was drawn back home to Auckland to be closer to family and started working at St Lukes Vet. Since having her second daughter, Beth joined the Onewa Road team in 2022 as a part time vet.

Beth enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, and prides herself in giving you and your furry companion excellent care and advice. She also has an interest in veterinary acupuncture, especially for elderly animals with chronic pain.

When Beth is not at work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family. She's also an avid traveller and outdoor enthusiast, with a passion for snow sports and adventure. She shares her home with a tabby cat named Mr. Fox, but if it weren't for her husband's far too sensible practicality, she would have a house full of animals.

Beth's knowledge, expertise, and passion for animal health make her a great member of the Onewa Road Veterinary team. You can trust her to provide your pets with the care they deserve.
